JUMZ @ Aj Crimson Birthday Party @ The Adidas Store 12:45pm

sidenote: 8:30PM Drink # 2
Once again in my quest for stardom I found myself on a red carpet with a bunch of influential people, models, executives, and artists. Some days I feel like events of the “industry” kind are really a waste of time but this one was no doubt the place to be last night. There were the cool people, the sexy people, the wealthy people, and the artsy people. Where did I fall in? Damn near everywhere after chugging down the good stuff at the open bar! Gotta love that grey goose, SHEESH!

sidenote: Olivia is a BAD BITCH! whew..
Anyways, the kid AJ Crimson is a celebrity make-up artist, he really does his thing and he’s well known for it. A special thanks to his team and PDGPR for the special invite.
Check out who was in the house…
Thanks to Kurt from www.DatzWhatzup.net
Yeah David, that’s Forrest Whitaker… lol

Ladies and gentlemen, meet Cuban olympian Angel Matos.
Before I begin, I have to let you know how ignorant I can be at times. When I first heard of this guy being a Cuban Tae Kwon Do champ, I thought to myself, “They teach Karate in Cuba? WTF??” Yeah I know, it’s messed up, but when you think of the strong arm Fidel has had over Cuba for so many years the last thing I could think of is cubans learning martial arts! Like, “We wont pay you what you deserve, but we’ll let you take up Kung Fu” Well, whatever..
Come to find out this guy was wooping this asian dude’s ass and caught a small injury to his foot which he was given ten seconds to deal with and then get back in the fight. So the ten seconds are up and next thing you know the judge disqualifies the match and gives the medal to the asian dude. WHOA! Now it is Beijing and I’m sure our slanted eye friend was favored by the judges but this joint was just dirty. Well, what goes around comes around.. The cuban coach gets pissed as well as the fighter and just when everyone begins to walk away, MY MAN ANGEL MATOS hi kicks the shit out of the ref! CLASSIC!! Check the video..
Now first of all, when you doing any kind of dirty business it’s good to “GET IN, GET OUT”. Now I’m the ref, I do this guy dirty.. I’ma get the hell up outta there. Why did he stick around and wait for that shit to happen. It takes 4 years to get to the freakin olympics, who knows, Fidel’s peeps might be holding his family hostage if he didn’t come home with a medal! I can’t believe that one communist country would do another one dirty like that. No honor among thieves I swear.
I don’t know what Angel was thinking either though, I feel for the dude.. I think he just blacked out and now is pissed that he has to go back to being a nuclear engineer for 5 bucks an hour. I also think he thought he might have been able to get away with that shit, well sorry buddy.. Camera’s were still on!
But I would like to congratulate Angel for being the first of my new category “Gangsta”. Definitely deserves a head nod and a thumbs up from this side. Hey Angel, if you ever get thru Florida waters, hit me on my blackberry!

sidenote: Was this a Zoolander face? Sheesh!
The other day I get a phone call by an associate of mine named Big Ray. He goes “Hey, can you model in my fashion show?” At first I found it weird that he would ask me to do such a thing, no homo! But then, I am somewhat of a celebrity so I was just flattered by the opportunity (I am a celebrity dammit! I swear). And me being the media hound that I am, I jumped right into character and became the infamous “Gabbana J”.
Gabbana J had a ball! Surrounded by beautiful people, free food and drinks, and fresh clothes! The brand I was selected to rock was Cezer. The gear is pretty fresh as far as urban wear is concerned. It’s for the dudes who don’t wanna rock a polo but still wanna go to that upscale event. This is hood couture at it’s finest. Matter of fact check out their website WWW.CEZER.COM.
7,435 commentsYoung Jeezy’s “The Recession” 2:59pm
It’s been a very long time since I have been excited about an album released by a southern artist, but “The Recession” is something I am looking forward to. I’m amazed at how Young Jeezy has stepped his game up and is about to drop the most amazing socially concious album mainstream hip hop has seen in over 10 years. The combination of “big-horn beats with organs” and his newly acquired witty flow, I think this will be one of his best albums up to date. Already, the track “Put On” is a concious banger and gets played in clubs all over the country and possibly the world. It’s a crossover for Jeezy from the “trap” lyrics we’re use to and we all been sleepin on what this guy is really doing. He’s adapting to the times and that’s what music should be about. When we look back at our CD’s or MP3 players ten years from now, we want the songs to remind us of what was going on in the world at that point in time. “The Recession” is the joint you’re gonna have to throw in a time capsule.
Check out this leak off the album.. I’m feelin it!
“MY PRESIDENT IS BLACK” Ft. Nas
I can’t believe I’m even writing this stuff, but it’s true! This album is gonna be the shit. Jeezy hasn’t let us down yet and I feel “The Recession” is gonna show us the evolution of Jeezy and all my hood niggas can feel proud about coppin this album. This is the one to get this year. Fa’ Sho!

This non-conventional hip hop wiz kid is the mastermind behind the track “Pressure”. He has a knack for giving his drums a live effect, and heavy layering within his beats give him a unique style which is unmatched against many underground producers in this day and age. Learn more about David E. when I caught up with him on his last trip to New York City in this clip!

This is me at the UMA’s this past Sunday. As you can see, I was heavy into the music going on that night!
Aside from hugging up on Porsha one of Bakari’s Blue Ice Models. (look em up!)
There were only 2 awards given to credible artist for the right categories and only one great performance by a well known artist.
Donny Goines won for Buzz Factor which in my mind was well deserved because he’s one of the hardest working rappers in hip hop and Skyzoo won for best lyricists because I guess Torae couldn’t get enough people to vote for him. Jus Kidding! I actually liked everyone in that lyricist category. Last thing I need is “gangsta backpack rappers” tryna jump me in their skateboard shoes @ the Pyramid on sunday nights. All in all, I learned a lot from this award show…
Money can buy you everything but talent.
The great performance you ask? “What Else!” Mr. Red Cafe himself who was accompanied by DJ Envy. These guys should be given props for trying to keep the east coast in the loop.
PS. Once again shout out to Bakari for winning the award for Best Modeling Agency EVER!

A lesson from Gabbana J 1:34am
Personal style is what makes you an individual. The right style can give a person confidence and swagger. It’s not about being the first one with this or having the latest “man purse”. It’s looking at something and giving it “FRESH POTENTIAL”. Love yourself and rock what you love, that’s style.. and people will love you for it.
Now the people that are close to me know that I’ma big fan of the D&G label. Can’t afford most of the shit, but if anyone out there is interested in sending me a gift. These kicks are the way to go!
Plus, since I’m no hater, I’ll give you guys the link to check them out yourselves.. Step ya game up!

Eating chicken wings and fries on a friday night while taking a break from writing music is an experience everyone should be apart of. Every bite just choc full of juicy flavor from that wonderful vegetable oil it simmers in. This pre-cooked dish is a staple in lower middle-class dining.
I’m sure you’re wondering “JUMZ, what da fuck are you getting at?”. Let’s break it down shall we?
When I look at this meal I see progress. I think of that immigrant chinese family who had a dream and set up shop on every Martin Luther King street across the nation. I think of the service these people are providing us with. Food under 5 bucks! Sheesh.. That’s a deal considering when the average household in the ghetto is barely making 40g’s a year. There’s families that feed their children chinese food nearly everyday.
Now let’s look on the other side of this. We all know that this food isn’t composed of natural “good for the body” ingredients, and fuck it, this aint the healthiest shit you can eat. Since our communities as a whole have been neglected for so long the chinese immigrant has found a way to capitalize on the circumstances brought upon us. The fact that I can get an egg roll faster than the attention from a private doctor should put some concern within the hearts of the leaders of our community.
Have you ever taken a look at how this has affected us economically? Since we continue to support immigrant owned businesses none of that money stays in your neighborhood. And while that chinese guy behind the counter is selling you this yummy meal on the regular, he gets to go home to the “American Dream”. He owns a house in queens, two cars, and his kids play in a backyard on top of being a CEO and eventually a franchiser of “Number 1″ or “Best Wok” restaurants.
What do you own? Other than debt, renting out an apartment from a jewish landlord, and a shiteload of problems?
Anyways, just thought I would share that with you guys on a friday night. Now pass the ketchup.
2,178 commentsMs. Parker Birthday Bash! 5:33am
First and foremost contrary to popular belief I don’t party every freakin night and when I do it’s usually for a good purpose these days or for good people. Meet Ms. Parker, one of the coolest “industry” indivduals you can ever meet. She is the right hand of the great Grandmaster Flash!
This gentleman is one of the people responsible for HIP HOP period! The brains behind classic tracks such as “White Lines” and “The Message” that have been constantly been sampled through out the years. He still Dj’s till this day and he’s a darn good one. “Don’t. push. me. cuz I’m. close. to the eeedge“
